James Schneider is now a partner at Cooley, based in Boston. He has joined the firm’s growing department focussed on emerging companies and venture capital, as reported by the law firm earlier this week. Prior to his new position, Schneider was deputy general counsel at RA Capital Management, where his responsibilities were centered around their life sciences-oriented venture capital practice.
During his time with RA Capital Management, Schneider was extensively involved with private and public investments, often working alongside portfolio companies on deal structures and conditions. His work also often involved advising on a host of late-stage, crossover, and complex private investment in public equity, commonly abbreviated as “PIPE,” financing transactions.
This move comes in the midst of an increase in dynamic changes within the legal industry, shaping the landscape of legal practices across the board. As professionals continue to navigate these shifts, keeping informed is the key to staying ahead of the game.
