Leading private equity firm Carlyle Group has proposed a tender offer for Tokyo-listed KFC Holdings Japan, with legal advisement being led by Nishimura & Asahi, one of the Big Four law firms in Japan. For this deal, two other prominent Japanese law firms have been retained. KFC Japan, who operates approximately 1,200 stores across the country, is receiving legal counsel from Mori Hamada & Matsumoto.
