April T. Ademiluyi, a former Prince George’s County Circuit Court judge, has filed an updated federal complaint against her previous colleagues, citing damages that stemmed from supposed misconduct that led to her removal from office in Maryland. Ademiluyi served as a judge from December 2020 until her unprecedented departure.
The decision, by the highest court in Maryland, to remove Ademiluyi from her position was deemed remarkably unusual, a move made rarely by the Supreme Court of the state. The court indicated that their decision was based on the “egregious nature of the misconduct” associated with Ademiluyi’s case.
Now, she is seeking vindication through a federal lawsuit, alleging retaliation from her former colleagues for her supposed transgressions.
