Law firms in the Southeast are anticipated to witness substantial revenue growth in the forthcoming period, due primarily to the healthy inventory levels they maintained through the initial quarter of this year, combined with their commendable abilities to secure payment on those holdovers. According to Citi’s Global Wealth at Work Law Firm Group, these firms have exhibited marginally higher demand than their counterparts globally.
However, it is pertinent to note that these firms also recorded a rise in expenses that outpaces the industry in the first quarter. Nevertheless, a simultaneous increase in demand growth softens the setback of rising expenditures to an extent, as per data from the same Citi report. Despite the fiscal challenges, these firms managed to notch higher revenue growth rates than half of the regions studied in the first quarter.
While aggressively rising expenses are a concern, the potential for revenue growth, spurred by an upward trajectory of demand and strategically managed inventory levels, leaves Southeast law firms well-placed for a profitable year ahead.
