The exact wording from the order, included as an exhibit to Trump’s motion to suppress, reads: “Law enforcement officers of the Department of Justice may use deadly force only when necessary, that is, when the officer has a reasonable belief that the subject of such force poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the officer or to another person.” These words, however, were modified upon submission to court, with Trump’s lawyers selectively citing: “Law enforcement officers of the Department of Justice may use deadly force when necessary…”
This ongoing case sees Trump’s lawyers’ attempting to dismiss the indictment, claiming prejudice due to the Special Counsel’s use of privileged evidence.
