ABA Proposes Revisions to Legal Education Standards: Public Comments Invited by June 24

The American Bar Association’s Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar has proposed minor revisions to three standards and four rules, which have been sent out for notice and comment with a June 24 deadline. In a meeting on May 17, the council approved these proposed revisions, which include updates to required public disclosures, applications for substantive change, provisional approval, and teach-out plans. These revisions aim to “clean up” some of the wording to align with previously revised standards and rules. Furthermore, they incorporate changes to U.S. Department of Education regulations and recent guidance. For more details, you can read the original article.
