Document management leader iManage and legal research company vLex have announced a new partnership aimed at enhancing workflow efficiency and knowledge management for law firms and legal departments. This collaboration blends the artificial intelligence (AI) and docket-monitoring capabilities of vLex with iManage’s repository of knowledge assets, client, and matter folders.
At the heart of this integration is two key features. Firstly, the partnership introduces an AI-powered platform offering a unified view of both internal knowledge bases and external legal data. This means attorneys can utilize the same interface to search for case precedents and their firm’s internal work product. This integration leverages the capabilities of vLex’s Vincent AI application, as well as iManage’s own knowledge search and management solution, Insight+. These tools jointly enable legal professionals to draft more informed legal arguments by combining proprietary firm knowledge and vast public legal resources.
Secondly, the integration automates the ingestion of federal and state litigation filings from vLex’s Docket Alarm directly into iManage’s matter folders. This synergy ensures that all court filings are fully searchable within iManage by various criteria, including judge names and jurisdictions. Such enhancements facilitate ease of access to court documents, further streamlining the preparation and handling of litigation processes.

Both integrations are expected to be available to customers of vLex and iManage this summer, with no additional costs to current users.
