Foley & Lardner LLP has appointed Brian Wheeler as a partner in its transactions practice, positioning him in the firm’s Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices. This strategic hire was confirmed on Monday.
Wheeler brings substantial experience from his previous role as general counsel at SoftBank Investment Advisers, where he managed legal operations for investment funds with over $130 billion in invested capital. His tenure at SoftBank included overseeing fundraising and investments for the SoftBank Vision Fund.
In addition to his role in the transactions practice, Wheeler will contribute to Foley & Lardner’s technology and health care & life sciences sectors. His track record includes steering extensive M&A transactions for both public and private sectors, along with significant expertise in private equity.
