Alternatives to the U.S. News & World Report Law Schools Rankings have garnered significant attention recently. Brian Frye, the Spears-Gilbert professor of law at the University of Kentucky’s J. David Rosenberg College of Law, is the latest to propose a novel approach. In his paper, “The Gray Lady’s Guide to Legal Education”, he outlines the development of what he calls the “New York Times ‘Best Law Schools’ 2024 ranking,” humorously referred to as the “NYT ranking.”
