International law firms A&O Shearman and Dentons are taking the lead on significant investment projects in Morocco, including an electric vehicle battery plant worth 12.8 billion dirhams ($1.3 billion). On June 6, Chinese battery maker Gotion High-Tech signed an agreement with the Moroccan government to build an EV battery gigafactory in Rabat.
In another deal in Nigeria, Clifford Chance and Slaughter and May are advising parties on the sale of a majority stake in Guinness Nigeria.
