Recognizing the diverse priorities and ambitions of prospective law students, Above the Law has introduced the ATL Law School DIY, an interactive tool allowing users to create personalized ranking formulas that align with their unique career goals.
The Law School DIY is equipped with 12 adjustable criteria, many of which are not part of the Top 50 rankings. For instance, applicants aiming for the most selective schools can emphasize factors like acceptance rate and median LSAT scores, while considering overall cost and average student debt. Conversely, those pursuing careers in public interest might prioritize schools with strong job placement in that sector and lower costs. For individuals interested in a diverse student body over federal bench representation among alumni, criteria can be adjusted accordingly.
With this tool, potential law students can tailor their rankings to their personal objectives, offering a customizable approach to evaluating law schools.
