Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has made a significant move to bolster its private equity and M&A group by adding two high-profile partners. George Sampas from Sullivan & Cromwell and Brian Scrivani from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison have joined the firm. Sampas will serve as the co-chair of Gibson Dunn’s M&A practice and head of cross-border M&A, while Scrivani will join as an M&A and private equity partner in New York, according to a report from the New York Law Journal.
When asked if Gibson Dunn will be opening an office in the Sunshine State, George Sampas responded, “I’m looking forward to having that discussion after I pass the Florida bar.”
