White & Case has expanded its project development practice with the addition of Peter Berg, who joins as a partner in Houston, according to a statement released by the firm on Tuesday. Berg will contribute to the global project development and finance practice, the global energy industry group, and the US construction practice.
Berg brings a wealth of experience to the firm, particularly in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) aspects of global energy projects. His expertise spans both on-shore and off-shore projects, including renewable energy initiatives. Notably, Berg has advised clients on pioneering projects that encompass a range of innovative technologies such as long-distance HVDC transmission, green and blue hydrogen, hydrogen derivatives like ammonia and e-fuels, carbon capture technologies, small modular reactors (SMRs), renewable natural gas (RNG), solar, and wind projects. His role is expected to bolster White & Case’s competencies in handling complex energy transition projects.
