Baker McKenzie Secures Regional Headquarters License Amid Saudi Expansion

International law firm Baker McKenzie has expanded its presence in Saudi Arabia by acquiring a majority stake in its long-term associated firm, Legal Advisors, Abdulaziz Alajlan & Partners. The firm will now operate under the name Baker McKenzie Law Firm. Alongside this acquisition, the firm has also received a Regional Headquarters (RHQ) license from the Saudi Ministry of Investment, further cementing Saudi Arabia’s role as a key investment hub in the Middle East.

The RHQ will be situated in Riyadh and managed by Karim Nassar, who is currently a senior legal consultant in the city. Baker McKenzie joins other notable firms, such as White & Case, Latham & Watkins, and Greenberg Traurig, who have also secured RHQ licenses in recent years.
