Skillz Platform Sues Voodoo SAS Over Alleged Game Manipulation and Deceptive Practices

Esports company Skillz Platform is taking legal action against Voodoo SAS, the operator of the “Blitz Win Cash” app, alleging game manipulation and player deception through the use of bots. The complaint, submitted on Monday by King & Spalding in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, accuses Voodoo and co-defendants Esport Newco SAS and Esport Newco US Corp. of violating New York General Business Law and the Lanham Act.

The lawsuit claims the companies falsely advertised their games as “fair” and “skills-based,” while allegedly employing an algorithm to rig tournament outcomes. Skillz is pursuing damages, lost revenue, and permanent injunctive relief.
