Harris Beach and Murtha Cullina, two prominent northeast regional law firms, have recently voted to combine forces, creating a new entity set to launch on January 1, 2025. The newly formed firm, which will be named Harris Beach Murtha, will boast a substantial 250-lawyer team and operate across 16 offices located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., and Massachusetts, as reported by Bloomberg Law.
Andy Corea, managing partner of Murtha Cullina, expressed enthusiasm over the merger, stating that their combined resources would deliver the highest quality legal services, enhanced by a more significant talent pool and broader geographic reach. In addition, CEO of Harris Beach, Chris Jagel, emphasized that the merger would allow the firm to extend its reach and provide diverse and innovative services over a larger footprint.
