Incoming FDIC Chair Christy Goldsmith Romero Vows to Eradicate Workplace Misconduct



Christy Goldsmith Romero, who is poised to become the new chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC), has made it clear that she intends to address and eliminate harassment and discrimination within the agency. This comes in the wake of a report by the law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton released in May, which revealed the FDIC’s failure to ensure a workplace free from sexual harassment, discrimination, and other forms of interpersonal misconduct.
