Washington, D.C., has emerged as the city with the highest litigation billing rates in 2023, according to a new survey by the National Association of Legal Fee Analysis. A quarter of respondents in the D.C. area, which included both defense and plaintiffs’ counsel, reported billing rates within the highest tier – ranging from $951 to over $1,300 per hour.
