Among the debuting features is LawY, an AI legal assistant that furnishes lawyers with AI-generated answers to legal questions. Uniquely, it includes an option for a qualified human lawyer to verify these answers. The second feature, Matter AI, enables attorneys to delve into their cases quickly and efficiently. Lastly, the LEAP Generator helps accelerate the process of drafting legal documents.
LawY employs GPT-4 and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) to tailor responses specific to a lawyer’s jurisdiction and practice area. Post-query, a lawyer can opt to have the AI-generated response verified by an expert, enhancing reliability. Currently, this feature is operational in Massachusetts for estate planning and probate, and in New Jersey for family law, with broader expansion in the pipeline.
