A federal court in Delaware has dismissed a defamation case brought by disinformation expert Nina Jankowicz against Fox News Network and Fox Corp. The case, adjudicated on July 22, was presided over by Chief Judge Colm F. Connolly. The decision represents a legal victory for the DLA Piper and Ellis George Cipollone O’Brien Annaguey attorneys representing Fox.
Jankowicz, who was appointed as the executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s now-disbanded Disinformation Governance Board, alleged that speakers on Fox News made defamatory statements about her. However, her claim was dismissed as it did not meet the defamation claim requirements under New York law.
