LegalForce RAPC Worldwide has filed a trademark infringement suit against Law Finance Group, a litigation finance firm, alleging unauthorized use of a trademarked logo. According to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, LegalForce asserts that their trademark, established in June 2013, features a stylized “LF” embedded within a partially rounded orange square and is deemed incontestable.
LegalForce also mentions in the complaint that they have applied for a trademark registration for a gray version of the logo. The suit alleges that the logo employed by Law Finance Group utilizes “nearly identical” geometry, the same letters, and a similar color scheme to LegalForce’s gray logo. This resemblance has prompted LegalForce to seek legal redress for what it characterizes as an infringement on their intellectual property rights.
