Dentons announced on Wednesday that former Ernst & Young global vice chair Kate Barton will become the firm’s next global CEO. Barton will replace Elliot Portnoy, who ends his term as global CEO in November. Portnoy has served as the firm’s only global CEO since the 2013 combination of SNR Denton, Fraser Milner Casgrain and Salans, which formed the basis for the modern firm.
