Federal Judge Upholds Patent Infringement Claims Against Dyson, Paving Way for Legal Battle with SharkNinja

A federal judge has dismissed Kirkland & Ellis’s argument to throw out patent infringement claims against Dyson, brought by competitor SharkNinja. Represented by Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, as well as Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, SharkNinja alleges Dyson’s U.S. line of cordless vacuums infringes eight patents owned by Omachron Alpha, SharkNinja’s exclusive partner. According to Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher partner Brian Rosenthal, “The court’s decision validates that SharkNinja’s claims are properly stated and should be litigated.” For more details, see the [original article](https://www.law.com/2024/07/31/dysons-attempt-to-sweep-away-sharkninjas-patent-infringement-suit-fails-before-federal-judge/) (opens in a new tab).
