Elon Musk has initiated legal action against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman, asserting claims of fraud and breach of contract. The 83-page complaint, filed on Monday in California’s Northern District by Toberoff & Associates, alleges that Altman “induced” Musk to financially back OpenAI by misleading him about plans to convert the company into a for-profit entity. Additionally, Musk contends that Altman feigned shared concerns regarding the “existential dangers” posed by artificial intelligence to secure his involvement.
