San Diego-based practice management and integrated payment software provider CARET, formerly known as AbacusNext, laid off at least three of its top executives between mid-June and July as part of an effort to recover profits following the sale of their flagship product HotDocs to Mitratech.
Among those let go were CARET CEO Keri Gohman, chief revenue officer and president of HotDocs Joanna Trimble, and vice president of GTM Operations and Customer Success Anne McNulty. According to a source familiar with the matter, the layoffs occurred “five to six weeks ago.”
