Norton Rose Fulbright’s global head of business development, Ian Ribald, is transitioning to Ballard Spahr as its new chief marketing and business development officer. This leadership change signifies the latest departure for Norton Rose Fulbright, which is ranked 15th in the Am Law 200, following the CEO’s abrupt retirement last September.
In a statement, Ribald emphasized the importance of growth and development opportunities at Ballard Spahr, noting, “Their interest in growth and development was something that was a highlight for me—it was important to me.” Following the CEO’s exit, several members of the global management team at Norton Rose Fulbright also departed for other firms, including Allen & Overy, Linklaters, and the London-based firm Stewarts.
