E-Commerce Company Replenium Sues Albertsons for Alleged Trade Secret Theft and Contract Breach

A Seattle-based e-commerce company, Replenium, has filed a lawsuit against grocery chain Albertsons, alleging that the retailer operated in bad faith by inducing Replenium to develop an innovative e-commerce platform, which Albertsons subsequently stole before abruptly terminating their partnership agreement. The lawsuit, filed by Lawrence Locker and Rebecca Singleton of Summit Law Group and Jason Spiro of Spiro Harrison & Nelson, seeks to recover losses due to Albertsons’ alleged misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and unjust enrichment.

Replenium’s allegations contend that Albertsons leveraged their business relationship to gain access to proprietary information, which was later used to construct Albertsons’ own e-commerce system. These claims are detailed in the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington in Seattle.
