Longtime Clifford Chance partner Bas Boris Visser, the firm’s global head of innovation and business change, has passed away unexpectedly on August 15. Visser, who served as Amsterdam managing partner twice during his tenure, was a key figure in the global financial markets group.
His death follows closely on the heels of another tragic event for Clifford Chance, with the loss of partner Christopher Morvillo. Morvillo was with billionaire client Mike Lynch when a freak storm led to their yacht sinking off the coast of Sicily.
