Fox Rothschild is set to expand its real estate practice significantly by onboarding a 10-lawyer team from Armstrong Teasdale’s New York office. This move will see a new cooperative and condominium practice emerge within Fox Rothschild.
The lawyers joining Fox Rothschild include Andrew Brucker, Dale Degenshein, Peter Massa, Howard Schechter, Julie Schechter, and Eric Wohl, who will all serve as partners, along with two counsel and two associates. Dale Degenshein had previously held the position of managing partner at Armstrong Teasdale’s New York office, while Howard Schechter co-led the condominium and cooperative housing practice.
This development follows Armstrong Teasdale’s announcement in July to shutter its offices in Boston and Salt Lake City, triggered by the departure of several lawyers to Dentons. Additionally, Armstrong Teasdale is ending its relationship with its affiliated entity in London and Dublin. More details on this can be found here.
Dianna G. El Hioum, Fox Rothschild’s chief growth strategist, expressed optimism about the acquisition, emphasizing the expertise of the new team in navigating the complexities of New York’s real estate market. According to Howard Schechter, the new team aims to create robust legal support for various real estate-related needs in the metro area, leveraging their local connections and extensive experience.
