Kirkland & Ellis Expands German Restructuring Team with Strategic Partner Additions

Kirkland & Ellis has expanded its restructuring practice in Germany with the addition of Christian Halàsz and Friedrich Schlott as partners, the firm announced Tuesday.

Christian Halàsz’s expertise lies in cross-border and domestic financial restructurings, workouts, insolvency, and multijurisdictional collateral enforcement. His client base spans diverse sectors including automotive, telecommunications, packaging, paper, transport, mining, and energy, where he advises on strategic and legal issues related to distressed debt and special situations.

Friedrich Schlott’s practice encompasses restructuring and insolvency-related corporate law, both within in-court and out-of-court frameworks. He is experienced in advising stakeholders across the capital structure from various business sectors.
