Berkeley Law has announced the launch of an AI-focused Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, with the program set to commence in the summer of 2025. The creation of this pioneering degree involved significant contributions and consultation from an advisory group and industry leaders. Notable members of this advisory group include Brian Israel, General Counsel at Anthropic; Nikki Vo, Director and Associate General Counsel at Meta; Nicole Ozer, Technology and Civil Liberties Director at the ACLU; Beth George, Partner at Freshfields; and Miriam Kim, Partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson.
The newly introduced AI-focused LL.M. aims to address the implications of emerging technologies on law, policy, and regulation. This initiative underscores a growing recognition of the critical interplay between advanced technologies and the legal landscape.
