Simpson Thacher & Bartlett has appointed Julia Kohen and Jennifer Levitt as co-heads of its fund finance practice, reinforcing its leadership in this specialized field of legal practice. The announcement was made on Tuesday by the firm.
Kohen will focus on representing financial sponsors in subscription credit facilities and NAV financings for funds across various asset classes, including private equity, real estate, energy, infrastructure, secondaries, credit, and other strategies. She also has substantial experience in management lines and co-investment loan programs.
Levitt, on the other hand, will advise financial sponsors on debt financings for their private equity, real estate, infrastructure, mezzanine debt, and other types of investment funds. According to Simpson Thacher, her diverse experience will add significant value to the firm’s fund finance practice.
