Vitiprints, a New York-based company that specializes in converting food and beverages into “flat” edible forms, has filed a trade secrets complaint against Veganz Group, a German company. According to the filed complaint, Vitiprints alleges that Veganz Group stole its proprietary technology and breached the terms of their existing partnership.
The complaint was lodged on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York by attorneys Mario Aieta and Stephanie Lamerce of Duane Morris. The crux of the lawsuit contends that Veganz Group unlawfully appropriated Vitiprints’ methods to independently market dehydrated “flat” food products, an action that Vitiprints claims directly violates the terms of their collaboration.
