A Texas law firm’s attorneys are seeking a federal judge’s forgiveness while attempting to evade sanctions after being accused of ethics violations in their client’s patent infringement lawsuit against Renesas Electronics America Inc.
Ramey LLP attorneys issued an apology in a filing submitted last Thursday to Magistrate Judge Peter Kang of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. They admitted to making errors in handling the case for their client, Koji IP, while leading attorney Susan Kalra was dealing with personal issues. The judge previously highlighted in his order dated August 29 that William Ramey and Jeffrey Kubiak failed to submit applications for temporary practice in California.
