Republican FTC Members Strive to Introduce Procedural Rigor Amid Lina Khan’s Agenda






Despite their minority status, the two Republican members of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have been actively working to counterbalance the strategies of Chair Lina Khan. Though unable to halt the commission’s overall agenda, their efforts have reportedly contributed to encouraging more stringent procedural rigor within the agency. According to John Villafranco, partner at Kelley Drye Warren, “The pushback doesn’t change what the commission is going to do. But I think it does make staff and the majority button things up a bit more.”
