OceanFirst Bank has reached a $15 million settlement in response to allegations of redlining in New Jersey. The settlement was announced by U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Philip R. Sellinger, who emphasized the importance of removing discriminatory barriers in residential mortgage lending. Sellinger stated, “We are committed to ensuring that everyone in New Jersey has access to the American dream of homeownership, regardless of race, color, or national origin.”
