Walt Disney Co. is undertaking another round of job cuts at the corporate level, aiming to boost the profitability of its operations. According to an
article by Bloomberg Law, the company revealed in an emailed statement that it is reviewing the cost structure for corporate-level functions to improve efficiency.
Notably, approximately 300 positions in legal, human resources, finance, and communications are being impacted. However, divisions such as ESPN and the theme parks have not been included in this specific round of cuts.
This latest development is part of a broader cost-cutting strategy that Disney has been executing since last year. The company’s ongoing efforts to streamline its operations are reflective of a larger trend in the corporate world where efficiency and cost savings are prioritized.
