Jenny Durkan Joins Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner to Lead US White Collar Practice

Jenny Durkan, who previously served as the mayor of Seattle and as a US Attorney for the Western District of Washington, has joined Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP (BCLP) as a partner. Her role will be within the firm’s financial services disputes and investigations practice. BCLP announced her appointment on Wednesday.

Durkan will maintain offices in both Seattle and Washington D.C. and is set to lead BCLP’s US white collar practice. Her experience as the Chief Federal Law Enforcement Officer for the region from 2009 to 2014 as a US Attorney is notable, as she oversaw prosecutions and represented the United States in various civil matters. During her tenure, she chaired the Justice Department’s Subcommittee on Cybercrime, among other roles.

Her addition to BCLP is seen as a strategic move, particularly for the firm’s white collar criminal defense and investigations offerings. As BCLP continues to bolster its capabilities in these areas, Durkan’s wealth of experience in federal law enforcement and public service will be vital. Further details about her new role can be found in BCLP’s official announcement.
