Haynes Boone Expands Real Estate Expertise with Strategic Hire of Sam Young as Partner

In a strategic expansion of its real estate practice group, Haynes Boone has announced the addition of Sam Young as a partner. This move was officially confirmed by the firm on Monday.

Sam Young brings a wealth of experience to Haynes Boone, having previously worked at Holland & Knight. His expertise spans advising lenders on intricate transactions involving commercial mortgage-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations, and structured finance. Additionally, Young is well-versed in default resolution and the sale of real estate owned (REO) properties.

Further complementing his skillset, Young represents both national and regional banks in various commercial loan transactions. His experience includes orchestration of loan syndications, multi-tranche construction financing, and acquisition loans integral to significant commercial development projects.

Young’s move to Haynes Boone is accompanied by the transition of Attorney Rose Mercer and Associate Gage Beekman, indicating a broader team shift from Holland & Knight to boost Haynes Boone’s real estate capabilities.

This development reflects the ongoing dynamism in legal hiring, as firms seek to bolster specific practice areas to meet evolving client demands and capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
