UK Lawyer Faces Scrutiny After £14 Million Misappropriation Allegations

Formerly associated with Armstrong Teasdale, London lawyer Anthony Kerman is alleged to have misappropriated £14 million from client accounts. The funds were reportedly used to purchase jewellery, pay credit card debts, and transfer money at a client’s request. The Solicitors Regulation Authority’s disciplinary decision on the matter was published recently. Armstrong Teasdale stated they were unaware of the SRA investigation and have termed the incident as a “difficult lesson,” which has prompted the firm to revise its due diligence procedures.
