Los Angeles Law Schools Shift to Remote Learning Amid Palisades Wildfire Concerns

In response to ongoing wildfire activity, key Los Angeles law institutions, including the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), are initiating their spring semester with remote classes. This decision has been made to ensure the safety of students and staff as the Palisades fire burns nearby. Located in Westwood, close to the southeastern boundary of the fire, UCLA has opted to conduct all undergraduate and graduate classes online for the week. Pepperdine University has also implemented similar measures by moving its classes online. Both universities are adjusting to these circumstances to maintain academic continuity while prioritizing the health and well-being of their communities.
