Legal technology company Gavel recently announced a significant expansion of its AI-powered document automation platform, Gavel Blueprint, now supporting a total of 60 languages. This marks a considerable increase from its previous capability, which was limited to English-only documents. The enhancement aligns Blueprint with Gavel’s original platform, which already supported 19 languages and was utilized by legal professionals in 23 countries.
The expansion offers law firms the ability to automate document generation in any of these languages, leveraging the platform’s capability to generate tailored questionnaires and rules-based logic from user-uploaded documents. This feature can remarkably reduce document drafting times, with Gavel suggesting potential decreases of up to 90%.
Dorna Moini, Gavel’s CEO, emphasized the demand for multi-language support, particularly among legal firms in Canada and the EU that operate across borders or employ lawyers who function in multiple languages. “This expansion reflects our commitment to supporting those customers and to equipping legal professionals with tools that break language barriers,” she commented.
Launched in 2023, Gavel Blueprint seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Office 365, Word documents, and PDF forms, processing them to create language-specific logic frameworks. According to Pierre Martin, Gavel’s Chief Technology Officer, the platform’s AI “understands your legal documents and creates standardized processes, templates, questionnaires, and rules-based logic to generate high-quality, consistent, accurate documents every single time.” Martin underscored the system’s accuracy and its sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic nuances of legal practice across various jurisdictions.
The introduction of these capabilities comes at no additional expense to current subscribers, as it is included in Gavel’s standard subscription model. New users interested in exploring Gavel’s expanded Blueprint offerings can find further information on the company’s website and take advantage of free trial options.
