HKIAC Achieves Record Caseload in 2024 Amid Modest Growth and Strategic Expansion

The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) has published its statistics for 2024, showing a modest increase in cases compared to 2023. The total number of matters reached 503, slightly more than the 500 recorded in 2023. Of these, 352 were arbitration cases, originating from 510 contracts, which represents HKIAC’s highest-ever caseload. Significantly, last year, HKIAC launched its Beijing representative office, marking it as the first offshore arbitration centre to establish a presence in China’s capital.
