Judicial Misconduct Complaint Filed Against Federal Judge Over Gender Bias Allegations in Depo-Provera Litigation

A judicial misconduct complaint has been filed against U.S. District Judge M. Casey Rodgers of the Northern District of Florida, as reported by the Daily Business Review. The complaint was lodged by the conservative judicial group, Article III Project, following an order issued by Judge Rodgers. The order emphasized the necessity for female attorneys to have leadership roles in a series of lawsuits regarding Depo-Provera, an injectable birth control alleged to be linked to brain tumors.

Judge Rodgers was recently assigned to manage the multidistrict litigation involving more than 70 lawsuits linked to Depo-Provera. In her order from February 23, she highlighted that women should be adequately represented within the leadership positions of these cases.
