A recent survey commissioned by Definely, a British legal tech company, reveals ongoing uncertainty over the impact of artificial intelligence on the relationships between law firms and their clients in the U.S. and U.K. Despite widespread anticipation that AI might transform how in-house counsel and outside counsel operate, the survey of 200 attorneys shows little change in this regard so far.
The study included 117 respondents from private practice and 93 from in-house roles, drawn from both the U.S. and the U.K. markets. Despite differences between the legal tech landscapes of the two nations, the expected transformation due to AI remains largely unfounded at this point.
