Paladin Unveils Paladin Insights: Revolutionizing Pro Bono Data Analytics for Law Firms

Paladin, a platform dedicated to connecting attorneys with pro bono opportunities, has launched a new data analytics tool named Paladin Insights. This tool is designed to enhance real-time reporting capabilities for law firm pro bono teams.

The development of Paladin Insights follows Paladin’s December 2023 acquisition of Pro Bono Manager, a product initially developed by Pro Bono Net for managing and evaluating large law firms’ pro bono initiatives. This acquisition has allowed Paladin to address the shortcomings of traditional static reports often used by pro bono departments, which lack the dynamic data needed for effective management and strategic decision-making.

Paladin Insights promises to provide pro bono teams with the necessary metrics to efficiently manage requests for annual surveys, RFPs, and audits from legal service providers. As Kristen Sonday, Paladin’s co-founder and CEO, noted, the tool aims to bring advanced data capabilities to areas of pro bono within law firms that have historically been underserved by business intelligence solutions.

The features of Paladin Insights include customizable dashboards that update nightly for real-time monitoring of engagement levels, time invested, and specific project details. These features are complemented by detailed notation capabilities that encourage improved communication within teams through shared anecdotes and contextual data.

The platform is also equipped to handle frequently requested reports, such as those needed for the annual AmLaw Pro Bono Scorecard and Pro Bono Institute surveys. Additionally, it allows for granular analysis of individual timekeepers, matters, and legal service providers, enhancing the details available for staffing and mitigating deadline risks.

Prior to its general release, Paladin Insights underwent beta testing by users of Pro Bono Manager. Amy Groff, partner and vice chair of the Firmwide Pro Bono Committee at K&L Gates, expressed satisfaction, highlighting the platform’s benefits for tracking and reporting on extensive pro bono engagements across their global operations.
