Protégé, which first entered the market in January, integrates generative and agentic AI capabilities, providing substantial enhancements to traditional workflows. The voice-enabled AI functionality allows users to engage in tasks such as legal inquiries, drafting, and summarizing case law through simple voice commands. The added layer of speech integration stands to redefine productivity and efficiency within legal teams.
Enhanced with advanced reasoning features, Protégé delivers a nuanced collaboration between AI and legal professionals. It introduces several new agents designed to refine and aid legal processes, including a Planner Agent for detailed problem-solving, and a Self-Reflection Agent devoted to optimising document drafts. Additionally, context expert witness analytics feature enables pre-trial assessments by processing expert witness depositions to generate comprehensive summaries.
The latest iteration also emphasizes user-driven customization, with expanded legal prompt suggestions aiding users to derive insights without the necessity for extensive prompting expertise. Additionally, AI analysis for legal search results integrates AI functionalities within the Lexis+ interface, enhancing the legal research experience for practitioners.
