Massachusetts Jury Awards $1.38 Million in Personal Injury Case for Newspaper Delivery Driver

A jury in Massachusetts has awarded more than $1.38 million to Melody Allen, a 64-year-old resident of Lowell, for injuries she sustained in a car crash in 2022 while delivering newspapers. During an assistance to her husband’s newspaper delivery route, Allen collided with a Chevy pickup truck driven by Maxanthony Plazola as she attempted a left turn. This incident resulted in Allen requiring extensive medical treatment for a herniated disk in her neck.

Represented by Morgan & Morgan attorneys Chase Marshall, Dillon Brozyna, and Ryan Lang, Allen’s personal injury case was filed in Middlesex County Superior Court. The jury decision in favor of Allen highlighted the impact of her injuries on her daily life. As John Morgan, the founder of Morgan & Morgan, and attorney Chase Marshall remarked in a statement, “The jury saw through the excuses and deflection and understood that our client’s injuries cause her constant pain and interfere with her ability to enjoy time with her family.”

This verdict underscores the challenges faced by individuals pursuing personal injury claims, marking a notable decision in the realm of personal injury litigation. For further details, the original article is accessible here.
