In a recently conducted survey at the Strategic Knowledge & Innovation Legal Leaders Summit (SKILLS), held on March 27, 2025, in New York, leaders from major law firms assessed their satisfaction with various legal AI vendors. This initiative aimed to gauge the likelihood of these vendors being recommended to peers, with the analysis focused on nine critical factors such as performance, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use.
Attendees were asked to evaluate the vendors on elements including performance and effectiveness, cost versus value, data security, and user interface. The respondents also considered customer service, system integration capabilities, the vision behind the company, individual experiences with company personnel, and adherence to ethical values.
Based on these criteria, 15 legal AI companies were highlighted as the most likely to be recommended by the attendees. The list of top companies includes:
- DeepJudge
- Centari
- Syntheia
- Lega
- SimplyAgree
- Avvoka
- vLex
- DraftWise
- Vable
- Legora
- Jigsaw
- Relativity
- Josef
- Definely
- StructureFlow
The initiative represents a step toward strengthening the relationship between law firms and AI vendors. Oz Benamram, the founder of SKILLS, emphasized the need for collaboration between these parties on the AI journey, noting that SKILLS Seminars serve as a platform for legal AI companies to educate the market and better align with law firms’ needs.
