Addleshaw Goddard Strengthens Global Presence with Acquisition of Linklaters’ Warsaw Team

Addleshaw Goddard has expanded its global footprint by acquiring an 80-lawyer team from Linklaters’ Warsaw office, now marking its 20th office worldwide. This transition includes nine partners and aligns with Addleshaw Goddard’s strategy to bolster its presence in the Polish market. The move underscores a continuing trend among major international law firms withdrawing from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) due to unmet financial expectations. The decision by Linklaters to exit the CEE region follows similar moves it made in 2008, when it withdrew from other locations within the region, but had retained its office in Poland until now.
